Job Summary
The Engagement Manager supports operational functions related to appointment scheduling, provider template design, financial clearance, and front-end revenue cycle activities. This role works closely with clinical departments to improve workflow efficiency, standardize processes, and enhance patient access and financial performance. The position serves as a liaison between operational and clinical teams, helping identify revenue opportunities, optimize scheduling and financial processes, and support patient-centered service delivery.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage revenue cycle operations for assigned clinical departments, including registration, charge capture, charge reconciliation, denials management, and write-offs.
Identify revenue improvement opportunities and support implementation of operational solutions.
Prepare and present monthly operational and financial reports, including budget performance, accounts receivable metrics, denial trends, charge lag, and provider productivity.
Analyze accounts receivable reports to identify denial patterns and process improvement opportunities.
Assist with revenue forecasting, budget development, and financial analysis for clinical departments and new service initiatives.
Develop financial models and revenue projections for expansion projects and new clinical programs.
Monitor provider productivity metrics and patient access performance indicators such as appointment availability, cancellations, and no-show trends.
Make recommendations to improve provider scheduling templates and patient access workflows.
Respond to patient billing concerns and coordinate issue resolution with operational and clinical leadership.
Collaborate with analytics, finance, strategic planning, and clinical teams to support operational goals.
Maintain strong working relationships with department leadership and stakeholders.
Utilize reporting tools and systems to analyze workflow performance and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements / Skills
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in access templates, analytics, scheduling operations, or revenue cycle functions.
Strong understanding of healthcare operations and patient access workflows.
Experience with revenue cycle processes including scheduling, financial clearance, prior authorizations, or patient access operations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
Experience with EPIC preferred.
Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across departments.
Experience supporting clinical departments and operational teams preferred.
Strong organizational and workflow optimization skills.
