The Psychology Department at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in School Psychology. The Psychology Department at UNO offers a strong undergraduate program and graduate degree programs in School Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Neuroscience and Behavior with outstanding faculty dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and service. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2027.
The successful candidate will teach graduate level school psychology courses with additional responsibility for teaching undergraduate courses (depending on department needs); maintain a productive record of research and scholarship in area(s) of specialization; advise graduate students in research and career preparation; and participate in service at the local, state, and national levels. Our NASP-accredited Ed.S. program emphasizes a scientist-practitioner model and is committed to training outstanding practitioners with a strong background in problem solving, data-based decision making, and evidence-based practices. The program has well-established partnerships with local school districts and community agencies in urban, suburban, and rural settings to provide rich training opportunities for students. There are potential avenues for collaboration with colleagues from the Psychology Department, as well as from other departments and colleges at UNO and the Munroe-Meyer Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Requirements
Qualifications include an earned doctorate (or anticipated before August 2027) in School Psychology or closely related field, preferably from a NASP and/or APA-accredited program, evidence of potential for scholarly productivity and graduate and undergraduate level teaching, and eligibility for state and national certification as a school psychologist. Practical experience as a school psychologist in schools is strongly preferred.
