The mission of the National Gallery of Art is to serve the United States of America in a national role by preserving, collecting, exhibiting, and fostering the understanding of works of art, at the highest possible museum and scholarly standards. Incumbent’s work is integral to fulfilling the Gallery’s mission, particularly the preserving and exhibiting aspects of the mission.
The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Department Head of Facilities Maintenance in the maintenance of all the Gallery’s architectural, civil, and structural systems including all related maintenance and repair projects.
